Since she's about 85% deaf, she does often wonder what others say about her. Since she obviously can't hear them, she's very sensitive to those around her. Whether that is by body language, general aura, or even how the look at her, she will notice and it constantly nags her...

It's hard for Lilac to keep up with others in terms of talking and communication, but she is attentive to watch how others talk and act. It's the closest she has to really talking to others and she does in fact know how to read lips, though she's clumsy with some words. She's still working on it with her family.

She does have a knack for picking things up rather quickly, and is even quick to retort, though her silence takes half the bit to her words. If she'd utilize her voice, you can bet she'd be a spitfire with words like knives for her angelic appearance.

It's funny, she tries to be tough sometimes, but it's just not in her nature. Out of the three cubs, she probably the softest, a pacifist. But Otho seems to make up for that, and Die does so just as much as well. If prompted though, she'll take on a stern attitude as a big sister to the younger cubs. But a majority of the time, she's usually a gentle cat.
Background Information
Lilac was born half way between Rome and Massilia along with her sister Diedra and brother Othello. Their mother died not long after giving birth, but not before naming her three precious cubs. By chance, she had came across her half-sister, Thisbe, though she went by Wyndigo with her Solus lifestyle. Before her sister had passed, Wyn promised to take the cubs to the empires where they could live in the company of other felines. Wyndigo traveled with the three cubs, keeping them warm and carrying them in her furred armor and medicine satchel.
Along the way they came across a mother with a cub of her own, Rya and Mana. Rya noticed the distraught Wyndigo trying to care for three cubs and decided to help out. She was a smaller bobcat, her cub almost 4 months old at that point. She helped carry and care for the three leopard cubs, feeding them and making sure they didn’t run off. She was unable to travel with Wyndigo and the cubs for more than a month, but showed Wyndigo how to feed the three small cubs before she left.
Along the way to Ice Empire, Lilac lost her hearing completely due to the weather conditions at the time, something that affected her learning process. Othello started losing his hearing as well, and the cubs started to make a special way to communicate, Wyn teaching them things to help Lilac understand everyone and likewise. It wasn’t great in the beginning, the travel had made it terrible to deal with, the dangers of the wild constantly being a threat to Wyn and her little cubs. She'd often snuggle with Diedra and Otho in Wyn's soft mane to sleep and loved to chase small animals on the way to Massilia, so it wasn't all bad she guessed. But things started getting better the closer they got to Ice.
Lilac was just barely three months old when they reached Ice Empire. Wyndigo waited on the border with the three cubs in a spot she knew Ice Empire would have to check and soon enough a gladiator named Angel caught sight of them and the two older felines shared a few words before Angel took the cubs and brought them back to the empire to his mate, Rue. Lilac, though scared, went with Angel and her siblings, snuggling in his tartan wrap on the way to camp watching her Auntie Wyn get smaller in the distance. She later met Rue, her new mother and her older cubs, Perceus, Saphire, and Titania. The snow pumapard reminded her so much of her Auntie Wyn with how kind and she was, the cub immediately took a liking to her. After a bit of sheepish discussion on Angel's part, the pair, who had already had cubs of their own, were willing to adopt the three cubs, welcoming them into their ever growing family. And not even two weeks after the triplets had joined Ice, they learned that their mama was expecting a litter of cubs! The little hybrids were going be be big siblings!

A scream. One that sounded so eerily like Chara's made her heart stop and her pace increased, her breathing becoming labored as she reached over the hill. A shout behind her went unnoticed as she felt her vision go red with anger. Lamia still didn't know Domitius was following her, her thoughts so focused on reaching the top of the hill that when she dod get there, her blood ran cold at the sight. There was a cat, a cheetah, hurting her Chara. Her ear was ripped, her cape torn, and bloody scratches were all over her, ruining the beautiful gold of her coat. And even though the rain was falling heavily, Lamia saw the tears. Ciara's tears screamed for help. And the cheetah knew what she had to do.
Random Facts, Quirks, and Fears
- Lilac is 85% deaf in both ears, but she did have hearing when she was very young. She lost it due to weather and infection on her way to Ice.
- The bells on her armor help others to keep track of her when she wonders off. They can also be used for simple communication.
- She is very light for her age, whether that's from the travel from Rome or just her metabolism, we don't know.
- Her name was given to her as she was born under a Lilac tree. Her eyes, though coincidental, are a purple much like lilacs as well.
- Lilac can read lips fairly well being the apprentice of Kamau, who is mute. Other ways she communicates is through bells, chirps, mewls, and paw gestures.
- She has a fear of the dark. Since she has no hearing, she's afraid to lose her sight as well, and with darkness, well you get the drift.
- Her only memories of sound are Wyndigo's, Rya's & Mana's, and her siblings voices, the normal sounds of nature barely a memory. She knows that as they get older the voices will change but she still remembers them every day, just to keep the memory. With a small amount of her hearing restored, though it's all low sounds and murmurs, she'd trying to remember all her family's voices incase she loses the rest of her hearing again.
- Lilac has a strange fascination with pale pelts. Since she grew up with her Aunt Wyndigo, who was a melanistic leopon, the only pale pelts she saw were her and her brother's. So cats like Angel, Perceus, Lamia and Cyril make her eyes shine. This little obsession could just be that she is indulging her optical senses as she can't really hear. And she has a sharp eye, so the colors tend to stand out more.

Since she is mostly deaf, her observation skills are superb. Lilac uses her sight and smell to navigate through life and with this, tries her best to make the most of her senses since her hearing is gone.

Lilac has had time to hone her use of her claws and limber muscles with her adopted family and the other cats in Ice empire. She's rather keen about climbing, enjoying the view she gets from high places but also the benefit it has in sticky situations.
